♦ Carolyn Allen ♦

Among her television appearances she most memorably played Vonny the sexy stripper and snake charmer in Only Fools and Horses, New Tricks as Carole, Dennis Waterman’s first ex wife, The Upper Hand, Slinger’s Day and Just His Luck.

She also appeared as Carole in the film Personal Services (Cynthia Payne’s birthday present girl).

Carolyn’s West End credits include Ray Cooney’s famous farces, Two Into One as Jenny Bristow and Ida in See How They Run. Joseph And His Amazing Technicolour Dream Coat, Les Miserables Edith in Jo Papp’s Pirates of Penzance at the Drury Lane Theatre and pantomimes at The Players Theatre. She has also played all the mezzo roles in The Gilbert and Sullivan Operettas

The Totties have played to full houses at London’s top cabaret venues The Crazy Coqs and The Pheasantry. Over the last ten years they have successfully cruised and travelled the world with their act.

In 2019 Carolyn played Hebe in Opera della Lunar’s HMS Pinafore at the Wiltons Music Hall London and then joined Paul to entertain guests at The Windamere Hotel Darjeeling for Christmas before joining Oceania Cruises as part of their team for the 2020 World Cruise.

Paul has worked as musical director in the West End on Godspell, Stop the World I Want to Get Off, Oklahoma!, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead for the National Theatre, Paint Your Wagon, The Tempest and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes in Regents Park London and Howard Goodall's musical Days of Hope. 

Paul enjoyed three years as Danny La Rue’s MD on stage and television as well as MD for Ronnie Corbett and Anthony Newley.

His cabaret work has taken him all over the world playing and conducting for Pam Ayres, Sheila Steafel, Janie Dee and the late great Dame Hilda Bracket

Paul is a specialist in Victorian Music Hall he played routinely at The Players Theatre London over fifteen years.

He recently made a TV appearance in the last series of Endeavour for ITV and What A Performance with Frank Skinner and Suzy Klein for BBC 4.

He appears regularly as Musical Director for Jan Hunt’s Paper Moon Theatre Company in the UK

In 2019 The Totties entertained at The Windamere Hotel Darjeeling for their Christmas and New Year celebrations before travelling to Miami to join Oceania’s Insignia for their 2021 World Cruise where he introduced Valued Guest’s Sing Out Loud Choir to great acclaim.
